Make sure the skin is clean, oil-free and dry before applying the Kinesio tape

Round off the corners of the Kinesio tape with scissors. This means it lasts significantly longer on the skin.

Always apply the anchor point of the Kinesio tape without pulling. Avoid creases when applying the tape

Make sure that the skin under the kinesio tape does not form wrinkles when applying it. After applying the Kinesio tape, rub the backing paper over the tape. The heat generated activates the adhesive and ensures better adhesion. Ideally, the area treated with the Kinesio tape should be hair-free. This extends the possible wearing time. Always carefully remove the Kinesio tape from the skin. The following tips can help you remove the tape painlessly: Use oil to loosen the tape, remove the tape when it is wet (e.g. in the shower), unroll the tape instead of peeling it off.
